Upon notice by email and publication online, WannaJava may modify these terms and conditions as well as discontinue or change services offered. Your continued use of WannaJava's services will constitute acceptance of these modifications and changes.

By applying for an account with WannaJava you represent that you understand and accept the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

WannaJava's Terms

  1. Eligibility: WannaJava is currently offering accounts to anyone 18 years or older residing in the United States, provided you agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. WannaJava reserves the right to refuse an account to any person or entity without explanation.
  2. Account Fees, Payments and Renewals: All fees are paid by credit card or electronic fund transfer directly to WannaJava. Account fees are set up on a monthly or yearly recurring basis, depending on if you have opted to pay monthly or yearly. There is no need to manually renew.
  3. 30-Day Guarantee: If within thirty (30) days of your initial account setup, you decide you are unsatisfied with the service, you may cancel your account by emailing your request for cancellation to support@wannajava.net. You must send the email from your contact email address or emergency email address on record. WannaJava cannot process cancellation requests from unknown email addresses. You will be refunded 100% of your Web hosting and maintenance plan fees. This refund will appear as a credit on your credit card or a transfer to your checking account, depending on your method of payment. Note that setup fees are used to purchase domain name registrations and SSL certificates for you, and these fees are not refundable. However, your domain names and SSL certificates are fully transferable and are yours to keep. If setup fees were waived because you opted for a yearly payment plan, the amount of the setup fee listed for the same hosting package paid monthly will be deducted from your refund.
  4. Cancelling After 30 Days: After thirty (30) days no refunds are allowed under any circumstances. To cancel service any time after the first thirty (30) days of your initial account setup, email support@wannajava.net from you contact email address or emergency email address on record and request that your account be cancelled. Our support team will confirm your cancellation by email, and your account will be cancelled at the end of your current service month or service year, depending on if you have opted to pay monthly or yearly. You may request that your account be cancelled immediately with the understanding that no refund is provided for any remaining time.
  5. Changing Recurring Fees for Monthly Clients: If you have chosen a monthly payment plan and at any time after your initial application for an account you alter your hosting package and/or maintenance plan and these modifications result in a change in your recurring fee, the new recurring charge takes effect the day you authorize the changes. There is no refund for any remaining partial month. If your new hosting package requires a larger setup fee, your initial payment will include the difference between your new setup fee and your old one. If the new setup fee is smaller than your old one, there is no refund of the old setup fee. This is because your setup fee is used to pay for third-party services such as domain name registrations.
  6. Changing Recurring Fees for Yearly Clients: If you have chosen a yearly payment plan and at any time after your initial application for an account you upgrade your hosting package and/or maintenance plan, your initial payment will be calculated based on the total yearly fee for your new services minus any credit remaining from your old ones as calculated on a monthly basis. No partial-month credit is given. If you wish to downgrade your services, you must wait until the end of your current service term to initiate the change.
  7. Changing from a Monthly to a Yearly Payment Plan: If at any time you choose to change from paying monthly to paying yearly, the new yearly recurring charge takes effect the day you authorize the change. There is no refund for any remaining partial month. There is no setup fee charged and no refund of previously-paid setup fees.
  8. Changing from a Yearly to a Monthly Payment Plan: If you are on a yearly payment plan and you would like to change to a monthly one, you must wait until the end of your current service term to initiate the change. If you are not changing your hosting package or maintenance plan at the same time, no setup fee is charged.
  9. Changing Payment Information: You may change your payment information at any time by logging into the account management control panel, available at https://www.wannajava.net, and filling out a simple form.
  10. Guaranteed 99% Uptime: WannaJava stands behind our services with a 99% uptime guarantee. Our data maintenance plan makes most Web site outages a thing of the past. However, if your Web site becomes unreachable from the Internet for more than 1% of the time in any given calendar month, WannaJava will credit you that entire month's Web hosting fee. Please note that outages of less than 15 minutes duration, planned outages for scheduled maintenance and upgrades, and regional outages of the Internet backbone are not included. To take advantage of this guarantee, you must notify WannaJava's support team (support@wannajava.net) of the outage and request a refund. We will investigate the outage, take steps to correct it, and notify you of your refund status. WannaJava reserves the right to refuse any refund request if we find, at our sole discretion, that the Web site was unreachable due to failures beyond WannaJava's control, including but not limited to power or Internet outages at the client's location, client browser or DNS problems, and client actions or omissions. You understand and agree that this is the extent of your remedy for server outages. WannaJava will not be responsible for damages clients suffer, including loss of data, resulting from any service interruptions.
  11. Warranties and Liability: WannaJava makes every effort to provide our services consistently, efficiently, and cheerfully. However, Web presence services are a cooperative effort involving many people and organizations. As such, WannaJava cannot make any warranties, whether expressed or implied, for the services it provides, other than the guaranteed server uptime discussed elsewhere in this document. WannaJava will not be responsible for damages clients suffer, including loss of data resulting from delays, non-deliveries, misdeliveries, or service interruptions caused by its own, clients', or third parties' errors or omissions.

Client's Responsibilities

  1. Application Information: You agree to provide true, accurate and complete application information and to maintain and promptly update your information as applicable.

  4. Server Rules: You agree that your use of WannaJava's services will not disrupt WannaJava, its associated networks or the equipment forming its system. You further agree to make no attempt to hack into WannaJava's servers or its clients' Web spaces.
  5. Client Responsibility: As a WannaJava client, you agree to take full responsibility for the use or misuse of your account services. You agree to guard your password closely, to change it regularly, and to notify WannaJava immediately of any misuse of your account services.
  6. Breach of Client Responsibilities: If any of the above client responsibilities are breached, WannaJava has the right to immediately terminate your account, along with your use of all services, without a refund of any kind, and WannaJava has the right to recover from you any costs or losses incurred as a direct or indirect result of the breach. WannaJava also has the right to notify the proper authorities if the breach of responsibilities is deemed by WannaJava to be a breach of applicable law.

Domain Name Registration Special Notes

  1. Registration Information:To protect your privacy, WannaJava registers all domain names using WannaJava's contact information. WannaJava also handles all renewals and technical issues regarding your domain name registration for you. Note that if you choose to register your own domain names with another registrar, WannaJava cannot maintain your registration for you.
  2. Domain Name Ownership: Throughout your association with WannaJava, you retain ownership of any domain names that WannaJava has registered for you. Upon termination of your account, you have the option of transferring your domain name registration to another registrar or simply letting the domain name lapse. WannnaJava does not maintain domain names for non-clients.
  3. All Registrations Are Final: It is very important that you make sure you have chosen the domain name you want and that you have spelled it correctly. Once the registration has been processed, it cannot be undone. There is no way to delete the registration or obtain a refund.

SSL Secure Server Certification Special Notes

  1. Identity Verification: Your SSL certificate assures the public that your Web site is owned by a known and trusted entity. To maintain this public trust, you may be required by WannaJava to provide proof of identity. This proof may include a business license or incorporation papers if you have a business Web site or a driver's license if you have a personal Web site. Inability to provide proof of your identity will result in a declined certificate request.
  2. Certificate Ownership: Throughout your association with WannaJava, you retain ownership of any SSL certificates that WannaJava has purchased for you. Upon termination of your account, you have the option of transferring your SSL certificate to another hosting provider or simply letting the certificate lapse. WannnaJava does not provide SSL certificates for non-clients.
  3. All Certificates Are Final: Once an SSL certificate has been processed by our third-party certification authority, it cannot be undone. The certification is based on your domain name and your personal or business identity. SSL certificates cannot be transferred to a different domain name or owner.
